The Maker Fair was my first time demoing and this little bowl is the result! It’s made of bird’s eye maple and is less than 4″ in diameter. Once I got home, my wife snatched it up and just dared me to sell it… The bowl now lives on our entryway table 🙂
Sadly, the fair was about 3 weeks ago and I’m just now getting around to posting about my experience… I fielded lots of questions while working and thoroughly enjoyed the interest from all who visited the booth.
Overall, the event was very enjoyable. There were tons of neat exhibits to check out, including an air cannon that went off randomly without any warning. Not that I don’t like a good air cannon…(You can never have too much cow bell). Nothing compares to having your zen-like concentration shattered by a startling cannon! I can’t believe I didn’t end up punching a hole through the piece while working!
I enjoyed the experience and look forward to whenever my next demo may be!
